This cotton and jute braided rug is made from recycled cotton waste and environmentally friendly hemp or jute. The braiding is done in village based communities by home workers close to Agra. The cotton and jute compliment each other perfectly, resulting in a lovely contemporary rug fit for any home. Our supplier is a family business established in 1974, they provide excellent benefits to 28 full time employees. They have achieved ISO 9001 certification and also have recently been granted BSCI social audit accreditation. The supplier also provides financial support to a school for underprivielged children in a slum area in Delhi. The school is run by an NGO and was established by a group of ladies from the slum area.
